"Berbatta is the culmination of over 50 years of coffee roasting expertise — a new premium label forged by masters of the craft."

Our founders began roasting in 1973, and have spent every decade since refining a single discipline: drawing the deepest possible flavour from the bean. They have sourced from highland Ethiopian smallholders, learned the Italian roaster's hand from masters in Italy, and rebuilt their drums by the dozen in pursuit of consistency. Berbatta is the distillation of that life's work.

Berbatta is not another brand — it is the answer to a question we have been asking for fifty years: what is the best cup we can make?

Our espresso beans are built for premium commercial use — the consistency, depth, and crema that the world's best cafés, hotels, and restaurants demand. Every blend is roasted in small batches, profile-locked from origin to bag, and signed off by the same hands that pulled the first shot in 1973.

This is coffee made by hands that have known the flame for over five decades. A label built not to fill a shelf, but to set a new standard in premium espresso.

BUNNA
Arabica - Robusta

The Amharic word for coffee itself. In Ethiopia, bunna is more than a drink — it is the heart of a centuries-old ceremony of welcome, where beans are roasted, ground, and brewed in front of guests as the highest gesture of friendship. Our lightest blend honours that ritual: bright, smooth, and inviting, with the soft floral and citrus notes Ethiopian Arabica is loved for.

TIZZITA
Arabica - Robusta

In Amharic, tizzita means sweet memory — a longing for moments cherished, a feeling so beloved it became the name of an entire musical tradition in Ethiopia. Our balanced blend lives in that same emotional register: warm, golden, and unhurried. Equal parts brightness and depth, it is the cup you linger over, the one that turns an ordinary morning into something worth remembering.

ANBESSA
Arabica - Robusta

Anbessa means lion in Amharic — the symbol of Ethiopian strength, courage, and pride, immortalised as the Lion of Judah on the nation's flag. Our boldest blend carries that spirit in every sip: deep, full-bodied, and powerfully roasted, with rich crema and a roar of intensity that wakes the senses. For mornings that demand presence and afternoons that need fire. The cup with a mane.
